The Karakalpaks, like other peoples, have been fond of horses since ancient times. For this reason, they developed effective ways of breeding, raising, and using them. Not everyone was able to properly care for and train horses. Especially, horses that participated in
traditional folk games had their own specialized caretakers. Many skilled individuals who were engaged in this profession emerged among our people. They were called seyis (horse trainers or caretakers).
