This article examines the importance of integrating intercultural competence into English Language Teaching (ELT). In the context of globalization, language learning is no longer limited to mastering grammar and vocabulary but also involves understanding cultural diversity and developing effective communication across cultures. The study explores theoretical foundations of intercultural competence, its components, and its role in enhancing communicative competence. Using qualitative analysis of pedagogical practices, the paper highlights effective strategies for incorporating intercultural elements into English lessons, including the use of authentic materials, literature, and interactive activities. The findings suggest that integrating intercultural competence significantly improves students’ motivation, critical thinking, and ability to communicate appropriately in diverse cultural contexts.
